My Journey
As it is for many of us on the path towards better health my journey started years ago without me even knowing where I was headed. I was only 12 years old and chronic pain had made its way into my life. Here I am 24 years and 20 operations later to share with you, what it was like, what happened, and what my life is life now. I have searched & researched high & low (the highest of highs and oh so very lowest of lows). Of course no one wants to experience these kinds of lows but it has been those moments that I found the most profound of answers and inspiration to keep fighting the good fight. Where I was able to step out of the role of being a victim of chronic pain, anxiety, fear, and PTSD and into the light of being an advocate and finding answers for myself and others. Never did I expect to find myself in a place of gratitude and acceptance for my medical conditions and everything I’ve been through, but I have. I want to share with you the ways in which I have experienced relief and a greater sense of peace in facing whatever may cross my path next.
